Service Description

Smoker's lines, also known as lip lines or perioral wrinkles, are fine vertical lines that appear around the mouth, often exacerbated by smoking, aging, and repetitive lip movements. A non-surgical treatment for reducing these lines involves the injection of dermal fillers or botulinum toxin, which help smooth and rejuvenate the area around the lips. The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes. It starts with a consultation where the client's concerns about smoker's lines are discussed, and their facial anatomy is assessed. The area around the mouth is then cleansed, and a topical anaesthetic may be applied to minimize discomfort. Depending on the severity and nature of the lines, a suitable filler or a small amount of botulinum toxin is carefully injected into the targeted areas. Fillers add volume and smooth out the lines directly, while botulinum toxin can relax the muscles around the mouth, preventing further deepening of the lines. Recovery is straightforward, with minimal downtime required. Clients might experience some swelling or bruising at the injection sites, but these side effects generally subside within a few days. The results from fillers are visible immediately, whereas the effects of botulinum toxin develop over several days, with optimal results visible within two weeks. Both treatments typically last between 6 to 12 months, and repeat sessions are recommended to maintain the results.
